JAMALPUR: Flood situations have worsened in Jamalpur, because water level in the Jamuna River is rising continuously.

Rali link between Dhaka and Dewanganj has been snapped from Tuesday noon (July 16).

Besides, communication through regional roads has also been disrupted as roads have gone under water.

Jamuna River is flowing 145 cm above danger level at Bahadurabad Ghat area of Jamalpur breaking records of 1950, 1998, 1988 and 2018.

Water Development Board's Water Measurer (Gauge Reader) Abdul Mannan confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Approximately 3 hundred educational institutions were closed down due to flood in the district.
