Two more test positive for COVID-19 in last 24-hrs, total 56

DHAKA: Two more people have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country in last 24 hours, raising the cases of total infected to 56, said Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).

No patient died during the time, said Dr Md Habibur Rahman, Director IEDCR said at a press briefing through online on Thursday (April 2). 

Bangladesh so far confirmed six deaths from coronavirus disease while 26 patients recovered so far and 24 patients are now undergoing treatment. 

Besides, the death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has crossed 47,000 globally as of Thursday noon (Bangladesh time).

Coronavirus has so far infected about 9.36 lakh people around the world, according to worldometer.
