JESSORE: A youth was killed in hand bomb blast in Hamidpur village under Sadar upazila early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Firoz Hossain, 28, son of Idris Ali of the village.

Kotwali Model Thana SI Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews saying, “Firoz was carrying the bomb which exploded leaving him critically injured.”

He succumbed to injuries at Jessore 250-bed hospital, the SI added.
