DHAKA: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is now a two-day visit to Bangladesh, has also visited the Ramakrishna Mission and Math in the city on Sunday morning.
The Indian premier arrived there at 9:07am where General Secretary of Ramkrishna Math and Mission (Belur Math) Swami Suhitananda, Principal of Dhaka Mission Swami Dhrubeshananda and other monks received him.
Swami Dhrubeshananda presented crests of the Mission and 100-years old Dhaka Ramkrishna Mission School to Narendra Modi. Two books written in Gujarati language on the biographies of Thakur Ramkrishna and Swami Vevekananda were also presented to the Indian premier.
Narendra Modi offered puja at the temple of Sree Sree Thakur Ramkrishna and exchanged greetings with the monks and devotees for a while there.
Prior to visiting Ramakrishna Mission, the Indian premier visited the Dhakeshwari National Temple in city’s Bakshi Bazar area on Sunday morning.
Regarding the visit, PM Modi tweeted, "Today in Dhaka I will visit Sree Sree Dhakeshwari Temple, Ramakrishna Mission & meet political & business leaders of Bangladesh."
He also said that it will be his honour & privilege to receive the Award of Bangladesh Liberation War Honour on behalf of our beloved Atal ji.
