Man held with 9kg gold at Shahjalal

DHAKA: The customs police detained a man with 80 gold bars weighting 9kg from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport of the city on Sunday.

The detainee was identified as Enamul Haque, 35.

Airport customs joint commissioner Kazi M Ziauddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said Enamul landed here from Dubai in the evening. On suspicion, police searched him around 7:00pm and seized the gold bars from his possession.
