Bangladeshi shot dead in South Africa

NOAKHALI: A Bangladeshi was shot dead by miscreants in South Africa after he refused to pay extortion money on Sunday morning (BDST).

The deceased was identified as Dalim Hossain, 35, son of late Lokman Hossain, resident of Chongaon village under Sonaimuri upazila of the district.

Confirming the matter to banglanews chairman of Bajra Union Mokhlesur Rahman said, one of Dalim’s colleagues gave the sad news in the morning over phone.

Dalim went South Africa two years ago and started a sole enterprise. Recently local goons demanded extortion from him.

On Sunday morning, the miscreants shot him in front of his shop. He was rushed to hospital where doctor declared him dead, the chairman added.
