Indian Border Security Force (BSF) reportedly pushed in 23 individuals into Bangladesh through the Kushkhali border in Satkhira Sadar upazila early Tuesday.

According to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), the push-in took place around 5:30am.

Subedar Mezbah Uddin, commander of Kushkhali BOP, confirmed that the BGB detained all 23 people immediately after they crossed into Bangladesh.

They were later taken to the BGB’s 33 Battalion headquarters in Satkhira for further questioning.

Officials said the identities and nationalities of the individuals have not been confirmed yet. The verification process is currently underway.
