Sylhet City Corporation mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury was admitted to  a hospital after he fell sick on Monday (Mar 13) midnight at his residence.

He is now under observation of Dr Shishir Bosak, Assistant Professor of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College's medicine department.

Mayor Ariful's personal secretary Muhibul Islam Imon confirmed the matter.

According to him, on Sunday night, mayor Ariful's blood pressure and diabetes increased. 

Later, the mayor was taken to the hospital as he was also suffering from breathing problem, he added.
