MYMENSINGH: A district court has awarded death sentences to three persons for killing a 12-year-old child in Tarakanda upazila of Mymensingh.

Besides, the convicts were fined Tk 50,000 each, in default six more months of imprisonment.

Judge of the first court of the Additional District and Sessions court of Mymensingh Niazi Shahidul Alam Chowdhury delivered the verdict on Tuesday (November 28).

The convicts were- Md. Akbar Ali, Md. Akram Hossain and Tervin Hasan Anis while Akram Hossain is absconding.

Mymensingh Court Inspector Nowajesh Ali Mia told Banglanews that the three convicts killed Cheton Pondith, 13, over a trifle matter in 2011.

Later, a murder case was lodged with police station.
