Swiss Ambassador to Bangladesh Reto Renggli paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at his office in the capital’s Bashundhara area on Sunday morning.

The meeting, held at 9 am followed by breakfast, discussed Bangladesh’s political and socio-economic situation, as well as bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Switzerland.

Both sides expressed hope for stronger cooperation in trade, commerce, and diplomacy.

The Ambassador was accompanied by Alberto Giovannetti and Khaled Chowdhury, while Jamaat Ameer was joined by Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, Mubarak Hossain, and Professor Mahmudul Hasan.
