Jamaat to be removed forever, says Quamrul Advocate Quamrul Islam

DHAKA: State Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Advocate Quamrul Islam on Monday categorically said Jamaat-Shibir would be removed from the country for forever.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker came up with the assertion in the emergency meeting of the executive committee of Dhaka City Awami League at capital’s Bangabandhu Avenue in the afternoon.

Quamrul Islam said, “December is the month of victory. Jamaat-Shibir will not be allowed to observe any programme and they will be removed forever.”

He added: “I am thanking our foreign friend as they are trying to bring consensus. But BNP will not participate in the polls as they can’t leave Jamaat.”

He also said that BNP’s dilly-dally won’t come out fruitful and the next general election will be held on due time.

Indicating BNP vice chairman Shamser Mobin Chowdhury, Quamrul Islam again said: “You have declared war to save anti-liberation force. We will not stay in home, we will prevent you.”

With acting president of city Awami League MA Aziz in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by general secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, vice president Foyez Uddin Mia and organizing secretary Shahe Alam Murad.
