Dengue: 121 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported 121 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Wednesday morning (Dec 1), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

So far, 98 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 39 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 82 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 321 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are now receiving treatment in the country. Of them, 244 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 77 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 27,343 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 26,924 patients have returned home after recovery.
