Modi visits Dhakeshwari temple

DHAKA: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is now a two-day visit to Bangladesh, has visited the Dhakeshwari National Temple in city’s Bakshi Bazar area on Sunday morning.

The Indian premier reached the temple at 8:45am where Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Sayeed Khokan received him and his entourage.
 
After staying awhile, Narendra Modi will go to the Ramakrishna Mission, and the new chancery complex of Indian High Commission in Dhaka at Gulshan.

Regarding the visit, PM Modi tweeted, "Today in Dhaka I will visit Sree Sree Dhakeshwari Temple, Ramakrishna Mission & meet political & business leaders of Bangladesh."

He also said that it will be his honour & privilege to receive the Award of Bangladesh Liberation War Honour on behalf of our beloved Atal ji.
