COMILLA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Comilla to inaugurate the main program of the occasion marking the 116th birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in Town Hall premises of the district Monday afternoon.

Festive mode has been remaining in the area ahead of PM’s tour. Local administration, cultural activists, Awami League and its associate organisation leaders and activists prepared to welcome Sheikh Hasina.
   
Moreover, four-tire security measures have been taken to avert any unwanted situation during her tour.

District information officer Mir Hosssain Ahsanul Kabir said three-day programs have been chalked out to observe rebel poet Nazrul’s birth anniversary from Monday.

During the visit, the premier will also inaugurate 17 development projects involving Tk 143.34 crore in the district.

Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor will chair the program, to be attended by planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, railway minister Mujibul Haque, Comilla-6 constituency MP AKM Bahauddin Bahar and Nazrul Institute Trustee Board president Professor Emeritus Rafiqul Islam.
