GAIBANDHA: A Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) member was killed and four others injured in a road accident on Rangpur-Dhaka highway at Bakchar area under Gobindaganj Upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mokles Mia, 37, hailed from Sylhet and posted at Kurigram 45 BGB Battalion.

Officer-in-Charge of Gobindaganj Highway Police Station Enamul Haque told banglanews that Mokles Mia was going to his working place by a bus.

“Meanwhile, the passenger bus collided head on with a truck in the area around 6am, leaving Mokles dead on the spot and four others injured,” he added.

The injured were admitted to Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex.

The bus and truck were seized, he added.
