DHAKA: Police recovered the body of a man inside a drug addiction rehab center in Bhuiyanpara area of Khilgaon in the city Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Bashir, 40, caretaker of the Life Line Drug Addiction Rehab Center.

Khilgaon Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Hiru Mollah confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Hiru Mollah said that being informed, police recovered the body, tied its hands, legs and mouth with rope, inside the rehabilitation center in the morning and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.

Following the incident, other stuff fled the center and police detained three patients.

Bashir tortured the patients at the center and following the matter, they might kill him, the SI added.
