BANDARBAN: Two elderly men were killed and another injured when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw overturned n Kasaipara area under Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday morning.
 
The deceased were identified as Thoayching Nu Marma, 50, Abdul Amin, 55, of Reichha Thungri Para while the injured is Babul Dash, 55, of Sadar upazila.

Witnesses said the victims were going to Bandarban town from Reicha area riding an auto rickshaw. On arrival at Kasaipara on Bandarban-Keranihat road, the vehicle turned turtle as its driver lost control over steering around 10:30am, killing Thoaieching Nu on the spot and injuring two others.

Locals rushed to the injured to the district Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctors declared Abdul Amin dead.

Later, injured Babul was shifted to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital for better treatment, Dr Lokosh Dash of the hospital told banglanews.

Bandarban Sadar Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) Imtiaj Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
