Tk 1.57cr stolen from Faridpur Rupali Bank, 5 held

DHAKA: A total of Tk 1.57 crore was stolen from Faridpur branch of Rupali Bank Limited on Saturday night. 

Police detained a Rupali Bank officer and four Ansar members for their alleged involved in the theft.

Details of the detainees could not be known immediately.

Following the incident, authorities concerned closed the transaction of bank temporarily.

Police from local thana visited the spot.
