Teknaf’s mastermind trafficker held

COX’S BAZAR: Law enforcers held Dhulu Hossain, mastermind of Teknaf’s human trafficking ring, from Shah Porir Dwip Bazarpara area of the district early Sunday.

Sources told banglanews that police detained Dhulu, son of a late Sultan Ahmed of that area, around 4:00am.

Dhulu, who was accused in 18 cases filed with Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Chakaria, Ukhia and Teknaf Thana for human trafficking, kidnapping and torturing women, was fugitive for long days.

Confirming the matter, Teknaf Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Ataur Rahman Khandakar said that two of the cases are being handled by Crime Investigation Department (CID).

However, according to the police officer, Dhulu has already been taken to the court.
