NATORE: A couple was committed suicide in Agpara Serkol village under Singra Upazila of the district on Saturday night.

The deceased were identified as Ashraful Islam, 30 and his wife Madina Begum, 26.

Sources said that seeing the hanging bodies of the couple, their son Motiur, 8, started screaming on Sunday morning. Ashraful’s father and locals, hearing the scream, approached the spot. 

Later, neighbors recovered the bodies.

Confirming the matter, Singra Thana Officer-in-Charge Shafiqul Islam said that a suicide note was found on the spot.
