TANGAIL: A son was killed by his father over family feud at Matiakhola under Mirzapur upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Shah Alam, 30.

Locals said Shah Alam and his brother locked into an altercation over a trifle matter. At one stage, his father hit him with a stick around 4:30 pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

However, police held Shah Alam’s parents and brother in this connection.

The body was sent to Tangail Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of Mirzapur Thana Shyamol Kanti Sarker confirmed the matter to banglanews.
