The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers with lightning and gusty winds in various parts of the country over the next 120 hours starting from 9am today.

According to the BMD bulletin, such weather is expected in Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, with isolated hail possible.

Day temperatures may rise slightly in Rajshahi and Rangpur, while night temperatures are likely to remain stable. 

A mild to moderate heat wave continues in Khulna and parts of Gopalganj, Patuakhali, and Cox's Bazar but may ease in some areas.

The highest temperature recorded on Monday was 39.2°C in Jashore, and the lowest today was 22.2°C in Sylhet.
