NARAYNGANJ: A youth was knifed to death and two others were injured by thief duo in Fatulla under Sadar upazila of the city early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Sohag, a hardware worker.
 
Police said two thieves, identified as Titu and Insan, entered into one Moin Uddin’s house at 3:00am and were caught by the tenants there.

At that time, the duo engaged in tussle with the tenants and stabbed them, leaving Sohag dead on the spot and two others injured.

Hearing the hue and cry, neighbors rushed in and caught the thieves and later handed over them to police.

Inspector of Special Branch of Narayanganj District Police (DIO-1) Mainur Rahman told banglanews “The injured were admitted at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.”

Legal actions have been taken against the duo, he added.
