SUNAMGANJ: Two friends were killed and another injured in a road accident at Karail village under Chhatak upazila of the district on Friday midnight.

The deceased were identified as Masum, 22, of Karail village and Jony, 23, son of Babul Talukdar of Barklahon village.   

Locals said the motorcycle riding by the three friends plunged into roadside ditch as they tried to save a dog on the way to their home around 11:30pm, leaving one dead on the spot and injured others.

The injured were admitted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where another succumbed to his injures.

Sumanganj police super Harun-or-Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
