On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and China, Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus exchanged congratulatory messages on Saturday, reaffirming the strong and enduring ties between the two nations.
In his message, Prof Yunus highlighted that over the past five decades, the friendship between the peoples of Bangladesh and China has strengthened, and cooperation between the two countries has produced fruitful outcomes worthy of celebration. He emphasised Bangladesh’s commitment to advancing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and achieving new milestones in bilateral collaboration.
Premier Li Qiang, in his message, noted that China attaches great importance to its relationship with Bangladesh and sees the 50th anniversary as an opportunity to deepen cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and across various other sectors.
He reaffirmed China’s readiness to work with Bangladesh to further promote the steady growth of the China-Bangladesh comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, enhancing mutual trust, development, and people-to-people connectivity.
