The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.
According to the BMD bulletin, rainfall is likely at most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Khulna divisions, and at many places in Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, with moderately heavy to heavy falls in some areas.
Daytime temperatures may rise slightly, while nighttime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
The highest temperature recorded on Thursday was 33.5°C at Ambagan in Chattogram division, while today’s lowest was 22.0°C at Bandarban. The highest rainfall in the past 24 hours till 6:00 am was 69 mm at Feni in Chattogram.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:44 pm today and rise at 5:51 am tomorrow, the bulletin added.
