Myanmar has returned nine Bangladeshi fishermen who were detained by its Border Guard Police (BGP) from Naf River in Teknaf.
Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) took the fishermen under disposal after a flag meeting Wednesday afternoon, said Lt Col Md Faisal Hasan Khan, commander of BGB Battalion-2.
BGB took unrest move leading to flag meeting to bring the fishermen back, said Col Md Faisal.
Returnees were subjected to the institutional quarantine as part of Covid-19 avoiding measures, he added.
Border Guard Police of Myanmar arrested fishermen and took them to boat from the Naf River in Teknaf on November 10.
