Banglalink’s Toffee set a national streaming record during the Asia Cup, drawing 38 million total views across matches and underscoring rapid growth in Bangladesh’s digital sports audience, the company said.
Engagement peaked at 3.3 million concurrent viewers during the India–Bangladesh game — the highest single-match audience Toffee has recorded for a sporting event.
The platform reported uninterrupted delivery at scale, reflecting both surging cricket demand and its ability to serve large, simultaneous traffic.
“The overwhelming response to our Asia Cup live streaming is a clear reflection of how Toffee is fundamentally reshaping digital entertainment in Bangladesh,” said Golam Kibria, Banglalink’s chief digital officer. “Reaching 38 million views marks a major shift towards mobile-first and network-agnostic content consumption.”
He added that Toffee will continue to offer top-tier live sports, from the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup to the English Premier League (EPL). Kibria’s title is listed by multiple outlets.
Toffee, owned by Banglalink, positions itself as an operator-agnostic service available over any mobile network — a feature the company says helped fans watch from “anywhere” regardless of provider.
The app’s store listing highlights cross-network access, while recent announcements confirm Toffee’s rights to stream all 380 matches of the 2025–26 EPL season in Bangladesh.
