International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam on Thursday submitted a plea to the judges’ panel seeking the death sentence for ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
The plea came after the conclusion of argument presentations in a “crimes against humanity” case related to last year’s uprising.
Regarding the case’s third accused, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, who is a state approver, the prosecutor left the tribunal to determine his fate.
The judges’ panel, headed by ICT-1 Chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder, officially heard the petition.
