NABABGANJ (DHAKA): Two minor boys were killed as an under-construction wall collapsed at old Bandura village under Nababganj upazila of Dhaka district on Wednesday.

The victims were identified as Rahat, 8, son of Khorshed Bepari and Hasan, 6, son of Hashem Bepari of the village.

Locals said some pipes, which were gathered there for constructing Al-Amin orphanage and madrasa, fell down upon the wall that cause the accident in the area at noon, leaving the duo severely injured.

The injured were rushed to Nababganj Upazila Hospital where the attending doctors declared them dead.

Principle of Al-Amin orphanage and madrasa told banglanews that the construction work has been conducting by the construction company ‘Sonar Bangla Soil and Construction Engineering’.

The accident took place due to the negligence of the workers, he added.

Nababganj Thana sub-inspector (SI) Abul Bashar confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The bodies were sent to Mitford Hospital morgue for autopsy, the SI added.
