BFA suspends operations in Rajshahi

DHAKA: Bangladesh Flying Academy (BFA) suspended its operations in Rajshahi for indefinite period after two days into the aircraft crash that killed trainee pilot Tamanna.

Considering the mental condition due to the accident, the authority called back all trainee pilots from the academy to Dhaka, sources said Friday.

Former president of the academy Captain Shahbuddin Ahmed Bir Uttom told banglanews, “The cadets are shocked after the accident. They have been called to Dhaka to encourage and brief them for new start.”

On April 1, a training aircraft crashed on the runway at Rajshahi’s Shah Makhdum Airport, leaving the trainee pilot dead and the trainer injured.

The Cessna D-152 plane of Bangladesh Flying Academy (BFA) caught fire while taking off around 2pm on the day.
