DHAKA: In a latest development in the police administration, seven high officials, including Additional Inspector General (AIG), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), were transferred.

The Home Affairs Ministry issued an order to this effect on Thursday.

Additional Inspector General (AIG) Sheikh Hemayet Hossain was transferred to the Crimes Investigation Department (CID) from Armed Police Battalion (APBn).

Additional DIG (CID) Mosharraf Hossain was transferred as DIG of Police Department in Dhaka, Chittagong Range Additional DIG SM Ruhul Amin as DIG in Dhaka Railway Range.

Dhaka Railway Range DIG Mollik Fakhrul Islam was transferred in Highway Police while Additional DIG of Highway Police SM Kamal Hossain in CID.

Additional DIG in Rajshahi Range was transferred in Police Headquarters and the post replaced by Additional DIG Mohammad Ali Mia of Special Branch (SB).  

A total of 12 Superintendents of Police (SP) were also transferred as per the new arrangement.
