CHITTAGONG: A youth was killed and 10 others were injured in an accident at 11-mile of Hathazari in Chittagong on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Saifuddin, 18, son of Abdur Razzak, residing in Gamritala village under Nanupur union of the upazila.

Witnesses told banglanews that the incident took place at around 7:00am when a Chittagong-bound bus carrying apparel workers to their respective factories collided head-on with a vegetables-laden mini truck. 

It left 11 injured, sources added. They were taken to the upazila health complex and later were shifted to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

There Saifuddin succumbed to his injuries. CMCH police camp in-charge Jahangir confirmed the matter.
