DHAKA: The query about the trains schedule will meet through calling no 16318 with train tracking monitoring system. 

The railway authorities set special devices in almost 50 engines. The devices will tell the location of train through satellite.

The customers of Grammenphone, Robi and Banglalink, three of the leading mobile phone operators, will get the services through SMS that will relieve the passengers’ painful waiting for train.

It will inform the passengers where is the train, when it will arrive and other information related to the service.

The authorities set on the service three months ago but the lack of publicity people became unaware about it.

Md Tafazzal Hossain, Director-general of Bangladesh Railway, said to banglanews that the service become more effective solving the initial problems.

The passengers will get the information of train in a return massage if they sent a massage writing TR space train’s name and code on 16318. It will cost only Tk 4.60 including vat.

The authorities have planed to give the services through online from this year.

The passengers can buy trains tickets of 25 percent through Mobile services.
