DHAKA: Tarik Hasan Shahriar, a senior correspondent of the ‘The Daily Sun’, has been awarded for the UNFPA-Family Planning Media Award-2014.

He got the award for his investigative reports on maternal, child health, public health, malnutrition, safe food and population problems in the country.

He also wrote reports on negative impacts of salinity on public health in costal regions of the country.

A total of six journalists from the print, electronic and audio media won the award.

The award giving ceremony will be held on July 11, 2014 at Bangabandhu International Convention Center.  

Tarik Hasan Shahriar also received this prestigious media award in 2013.
