‘Long March Brings Aater in Teesta’

LALMONIRHAT: Acting Secretary General of BNP Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Tuesday claimed water flow in Teesta River increased after Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) staged long march.

The spokesperson for the party came up with assertion in an interview with banglanews at North View Hotel in Rangpur at night.

Mirza Fakhrul also claimed the India government opened the dam knowing BNP’s long march called demanding a ‘due share’ water of the Teesta River.

Fakhrul also urged the country-men to join the march.

He also criticized the government for its foreign policy.

The water flow at Doani Point of the Teesta Barrage Irrigation Project was recorded 3050-cusec on Tuesday evening where the water flow was only 280-cusec on Monday.
