KHAGRACHARI: Unidentified assailants shot two activists of United Peoples Democratic Front (UPDF) to death in Baroitoli area under Bhaibon Chhora union of the district Saturday morning.

The deceased was indentified as Natun Kumar Chakma, 35,
Protulmoy Chakma, 28.

Witnesses said that a gang of miscreants suddenly shot the UPDF activists in the area around 8:30 am, leaving them dead on the spot.

UPDF publicity and publication department Chief Niron Chakma claimed the victims as the activists of the organistion and blamed Jana Sanghati Samiti (JSS) for their killing.

JSS assistant secretary for information and publicity Sajib Chakma denied the allegation.

Officer-in-Charge of Khagrachari Sadar Police Station Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
