The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely at many places across the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9 am today.
According to a bulletin issued this morning, “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind is likely at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions, and at many places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions.”
The met office added that day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
On Saturday, the highest temperature recorded was 34.0°C at Srimangal in Sylhet division, while the lowest was 21.5°C at Tetulia in Rangpur division. The maximum rainfall over the past 24 hours, till 6 am today, was 108 mm at Tetulia.
In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 5:43 pm today and rise at 5:52 am tomorrow.
