Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to Japan has been postponed, and a new tour schedule will be finalised soon.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam MP confirmed the matter. 

He said: "The visit will soon take place. We have not made any official direction in this regard...the date will be announced later." 

After the bilateral meeting between State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam and Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Takei Shunsuke, held at InterContinental Hotel, Dhaka today, State Minister Shahriar Alam spoke with journalists present there.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen told the media that the visit might take place on November 29.
