DHAKA: A devastating fire broke out at Lucky Textile Mill at Shyampur in the capital city in the morning on Monday (December 25).

At least 40 people were rescued safely. The fire service personnel rescued them.

The fire incident took place at the second floor of the textile mill at about 8:30 am.

On information, the Fire Service and Civil Defense rushed to spot immediately. Eight units of the Fire Service and Civil Defense worked and doused the flame.

Control room officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense confirmed the matter.
