Tigers win in one-off Zimbabwe Test

DHAKA: Nayeem Hasan bagged five wickets as Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by an innings and 106 runs inside four days in the one-off Test in Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday (Feb 25).

After Bangladesh declared their first innings on 560-6 on Monday, a lead of 295 runs, Zimbabwe, who made 265 in their first innings, lost all wickets to score 189 in the second session on day four.

Craig Ervine took the highest 43 for the tourists while T Maruma scored 41. 

Nayeem Hasan was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers claiming 5-82 while Taijul Islam bagged 4 for 78.

Mushfiqur Rahim scored an unbeaten 203 runs while Mominul made 132 to give the hosts a 295-run lead.
