Hasnat calls AL a 'terrorist organization'

Terming Awami League (AL) as "terrorist organization", National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator (Southern region) Hasnat Abdullah today (May 3) said meaningful reform in Bangladesh is not possible until Awami League is banned and Sheikh Hasina is brought to sentence.

The rally, led by Hefazat's Paltan zone, demanded the dissolution of the Women’s Affairs Reform Commission, withdrawal of cases against Hefazat leaders, and a formal ban on the Awami League.

Criticizing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Hasnat referenced the post-1971 BAKSAL rule and accused the government of historical atrocities, including the alleged killing of Jasad activists and responsibility for the 1974 famine.

"Awami League died in Bangladesh; its funeral was held in Delhi," he added, calling for relentless public mobilization against the current regime.

“Until her execution is carried out, our movement will not stop,” he added.

The rally was presided over by Hefazat Ameer Shah Muhibullah Babunagari and featured speeches from other senior Hefazat leaders including Mahmudur Hasan Kashemi and Mamunul Haque.
