PABNA: District BNP called dawn-to-dusk hartal (shutdown) for Saturday in the district, demanding the immediate release of Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, special assistant to opposition BNP Cahirperson Khaleda Zia.

General Secretary of district BNP Habibur Rahman Tota told banglanews that they took the decision in a party meeting on Thursday evening.

The activists of BNP and its front organizations were asked to make the hartal a success from a meeting chaired by Major (retd) KS Mahmud, president of district BNP.

On November 9, and 16 Pabna district BNP also called for hartal with the same demand.
