Arvind Biswas has been appointed as the new Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Alikadam in Bandarban. 

The matter was informed in a notification signed by Chittagong Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Prakash Kanti Chowdhury on Tuesday (Sept 27).

The notification said BCS (Administration) cadre officer Arvind Biswas has been appointed as the Alikadam Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate of Bandarban.

Arvind Biswas currently is the UNO of Ashuganj in Brahmanbaria.

Earlier, on September 23, UNO Mehruba smashed the trophies she was supposed to distribute to the winners of a football match at Repar Para Government Primary School in Alikadam Upazila.

The video of the incident went viral on social media and sparked a lot of criticism
