Police on Sunday (May 22) recovered the bodies of a woman and her two children from a house in Belabo upazila of Narsingdi.

The deceased were identified as Rahima Begum, 35, wife of Gias Uddin, their son Rabbi Sheikh, 12, and 7-year-old daughter Rakiba Akter.

Narsingdi Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Saheb Ali Pathan said police started investigating the incident.

According to the primary investigation, he said, Rahima was stabbed to death while her two children were strangled to death.

Painter by profession, Gias Uddin came to the house from Gazipur this morning and found the bodies. Hearing his cry for help, neighbours rushed in and informed the police.
