Dengue: 108 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported 108 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Wednesday morning (Nov 24), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

So far, 98 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 87 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 21 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 479 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are now receiving treatment in the country. Of them, 359 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 120 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 26,741 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 26,114 patients have returned home after recovery.
