DHAKA: The service of Pathology Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) resumed after eight hours halt from 11:00am Sunday due to power cut caused by electric short-circuit.

However, seven lifts of DMCH new building, remained close from 3:00pm due to technical glitch in power generator system, are also reopened around 4:00pm.

DMCH Clinical Pathology Department head Dr Kazi Yasmin Sattar told banglanews the activities of the department came to normalcy around 7:00pm.

Earlier, the power cut caused immense sufferings of the patients, who came for treatment as they got stuck in several floors of the new building. There was no sloped walkway in the hospital.
