DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a drug peddler along with 90,000 pieces of yaba tablets from Jurain area under Shampur Thana of the city on Sunday.

The detainee has been identified as Titu Khan, 34.

RAB-10 commanding officer (CO) additional deputy inspector general (DIG) Jamil Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said, acting on a tip-off, they conducted a drive in the area and seized the 90,000 pieces of Yaba worth of Tk 3 lakh, three mobile phone sets and five SIMs from the house and detained Titu.

Legal action has been taken against Titu, the additional DIG added.
