DHAKA: The cabinet approved the proposed budget of the fiscal year 2015-16 in a meeting at Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat on Thursday noon.

This will be the second budget of the incumbent Awami League-led government after it assumed power in January last year.

The size of the budget is Tk 2,95,000 crore.

With Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, ministers, state ministers and secretaries attended the meeting.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith is set to place the 44th national budget for Fiscal Year 2015-16 in the Parliament at 3:30pm.
