DHAKA: State minister for home affairs ministry Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal categorically said that no godfather involved in human trafficking will be spared.
He made the warning while talking to the media at his secretariat office in city on Tuesday.
Moreover, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel will be deployed along the 250-km unsecured border with Myanmar, Kamal added.
According to the state minister, the government is also working to secure Cox’s Bazar frontier with Myanmar.
‘The government will provide separate identity cards to the fishermen in the Bay of Bengal to curb human trafficking.’
‘Separate number-plates will also be given to the goods-carrying trawlers,’ he informed the media.
In reply to a question, Kamal commented that all migrants on the boats are not Bangladeshis.
He further said that the number of Bangladeshi migrants is few and there is no Bangladeshi migrant trawler in the sea.
